Student, 20, ‘recorded himself having sex with unconscious woman in university halls’

A university student in Ohio allegedly had sex with an unconscious woman and recorded it. 

Nicolas Cristescu, 20, from Cleveland, has been charged with misdemeanor, voyeurism, sexual battery and rape.

The incident is believed to have happened on Thursday, October 12, at Miami University’s halls of residence, police said.

The female student reported the sexual assault to police a week later on Thursday, October 19, and said the man was known to her.

Miami University Police told WLWT5: ‘The incident is reported to have occurred in the early morning hours of Thursday, October 12, 2017, in a residence hall room at Heritage Commons’.

A student at the university said: ‘I heard the campus crime alert, and then our RD also sent out an email specifically to all of us talking about it.’

Cristescu was initially charged on October 25, but a prosecutor dismissed the charges.

A grand jury then heard the evidence and decided upon a 13-count indictment.

Police also said that on October 13 Cristescu was was found to be in possession of obscene images involving a female minor.

The female minor was 16 years old when the images were created and were sent to Cristescu by her in 2014.
