Claude Littner’s Segway ride in The Apprentice might just be the TV moment of the year
When the dust settles on the current series of the Apprentice, what are we most likely to remember? Those tasks, those firings, that bit when someone sold a roll full of salad on the burger task?
Well no, actually. We think it could actually be this bit – when Claude Littner got really stuck in to the events of this week’s ‘Segway tour of Bruges’ – and hopped on a Segway himself.
Seriously. We can’t even.
Yup, the sight of Lord Sugar’s stern right-hand man powering his way through the streets of the quaint Belgian town just gave all of us Apprentice fans life, really. Especially as we couldn’t tell whether he was enjoying it or not, judging from his straight-faced expression.
So just in case you missed it, here it is again.
In fairness Claude’s face may have summed up what he thought of the all-too-brief ride, pointing out: ‘James sold this as a Segway tour, however nothing could be further from the truth because what they got was about 10 or 15 minutes
‘Hardly a Segway tour.’
You tell ’em, Claude. Although the man himself has addressed his Segway experience after facing a barrage of questions post-episode.
Oh, and he told another viewer that he actually did enjoy the ride – even though it might not have looked like that at the time.
Whatever next, Karren Brady keeping up with the teams on a unicycle? We don’t even want to think about it.
The Apprentice continues next Wednesday night on BBC One at 9pm, when the remaining candidates will be tasked with marketing a new car.
